It’s actually a harmony singing, arm flailing drummer. But thanks for the kudos. He is my son and he and Joseph used to be my rhythm section in the mid 90’s. Ian didn’t sing back then though. He was afraid it would take away from his drumming.
Who are you by the way. Do we know you?

Reckless Kelly reminds me of a combination of the following great acts: 1.The V-Roys for the beer drinking blues, and great live. 2. Leftover Salmon for the melodic bluegrass feel and 3. Radney Foster for the vocal sound and great songwriting. With that said, they have their own unique quality that makes them able to stand alone as a great band. Just my humble opinion.

Good analysis! I liken them to a non-tejano influenced Texas Tornados. They are able to seemlessly blend a myriad of country stylings and make it work. they also get points from me because they are not out there merely trying to “sound” like texas/red dirt like many other bands currently.

Hey I recently started a new blog that reviews music from MySpace. Mostly fringe bands that don’t get too much exposure, but really anything that catches my eye or gets recommended. Here is the link if you feel you might be inclined to add it to your Blogroll: http://www.MySpaceMusicReviews.blogspot.com Thanks for hearing me out!

Thanks Mike for the heads up! I try and get the word out on bands I notice from myspace every so often also, but it’s cool to have a blog devoted to that search! Thanks for reading! I’ll add you on my roll so that others can enjoy also!
