The Gobblers Knob

South by Sarah Borges

165.jpg Sarah Borges Rocks the Patio at SXSW…

Sorry it has been a while since my last post.  I will have more over the next few days, but I thought I would send this out.

Last weekend at South by Southwest I hit the Twangfest Day Party at Jovita’s.  Some really great bands played as I hung on the patio with my woman, baby and the boys from The 9513.

While The Whipsaws were great, Tommy Womack rocked and Tim Easton rolled, it was Sarah Borges & The Broken Singles that were the main event for me. Like I said, more on my trip later this week.  If you aren’t familiar with her, please listen to her Myspace and take a look at the videos below….

UPDATE:  Click HERE & HERE for some of Sarah’s thoughts regarding this past SXSW weekend…

SB+BS are awesome…live and on record! I’ve seen them in L.A. and was looking forward to their set at SX, but when i got to the club, i was informed that they were at their OTHER club of the same name across time. I had no time to get there. Oh well…glad you enjoyed it. My SX fave was Okkervil River w/Roky Erickson.

Yeah, they played a couple of gigs over the course of sxsw. I wish she would hit the south a little more, but i understand how tough it is to travel outside of your region when touring…

I’ve seen SBBS in Boston, Illinois (twice) and Wisconsin and they’ve been great each time. There really nice people to and great fun to share a beer with. I can’t wait to see them again somewhere this summer.
